Managing Preferences Presets in InspectMe
In InspectMe, the Preferences Panel allows you to seamlessly customize and restore your development environment settings. This feature simplifies how you save your configurations as presets and load them whenever necessary, ensuring efficient management of your workspace settings.
Saving and Loading Presets
Located at the top left of the Preferences Panel next to the InspectMe logo, a dropdown arrow provides quick access to managing your settings. Selecting Save allows you to name and save your current configuration as a preset. When you need to switch settings, clicking Load displays a list of all available presets, enabling you to apply any of them effortlessly.
Resetting to Default
If you require a return to the original settings, the Reset to Default option is available in the same dropdown menu. This action clears any custom configurations and reinstates the default settings, providing a reliable fallback and clean starting point for new customizations.
Note: There is also a "Reset to Default" button located at the bottom of the panel's side menu for easy access.
Preset Storage
All presets are saved as ScriptableObjects and are located in the DivinityCodes/InspectMe/Resources/Preferences
directory. If this directory is removed, InspectMe automatically recreates it and generates a default preset, ensuring that your tool is always prepared with baseline settings.
This approach ensures that you can maintain a consistent setup across different machines or revert to a standard configuration with minimal effort.
